Roman Empire, Valentinian II (375-392), AV Solidus, AD 383-388, Mediolanum [Milan], D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed and draped bust right, with traces of pearl necklace, rev. VICTOR-IA AVGG, two draped emperors nimbate, seated facing on throne, one on right holding mappa in left hand and the two together holding globe, winged victory above, palm branch below, COM in exergue, 4.47g [68.98grns], 6h, 20.34 mm x 1.27 mm diameter/thickness (Reece Period 20; PAS KENT-5D0872 this coin; cf. Hoxne 16; Depeyrot 1/2; RIC IX, 5e), minor rim furling and surface hairlines to obverse fields, otherwise lustrous, a most pleasingly extremely fine and much as issued, and rare with a contextualised British find spot
