1877 4pp autograph letter written by Donald Macleod, editor of "Good Words", a monthly journal, to Edward Young R.N. (1831-1896), who accompanied Dr Livingstone on the 1862-64 expedition and commanded the Pioneer along the Zambezi and Shire Rivers. In 1875 he founded the Livingstonia settlement. Macleod requests Young to use his journal as the first to publish details of his expedition to Livingstonia, as did Drs Cameron and Livingstone on earlier occasions. Repaired tear across the centre, with no loss of text
