1868 (Apr.) mourning envelope to Bangalore "Via Bombay" bearing 4a. green tied by manuscript date (appears to be 6th April) and with barred "F.F." postmark, marked from "H.R. Elliot Capt. ...", the reverse with a fair strike of "field force post office/abyssinia" (16.4) in red, straight-line "too-late" in black plus Bombay and Bangalore (5.5) c.d.s. There is a small defect at the foot of the envelope which is, otherwise, in good condition. This letter was sent shortly before the troops reached Magdala. Photo
