Cnut (1016-1035/36), 'Cross in Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, 1016-1023, Huntingdon, Godleof, + CNVT REX ANGLORV, crowned and draped bust left, in quatrefoil, rev. + GODLIOF ON HVNT, voided long cross in pellet-tipped quatrefoil, pellet at each apex, 0.92g [14.2grns], 1h (Eaglen 167, dies Be; SCBI [Copenhagen], 1283 same dies; cf BEH 1249; North 781; BMC VIII; Spink 1157), small metal flaw before the face as usual for this type, with a light pastille-grey tone, almost extremely fine, a very rare mint
