LONDONIA Monogram, cross pattée above, quatrefoil of pellets below, 1.37g [21.0grns], 12h ("The London Monogram Coinage of Alfred the Great and the Danelaw" (BNJ, 2019), pp. 1-107 = MacKay dies, O7/R13, no. 11 this coin; BMC 94; North 644; Spink 1061), an unfortunate planchet clip behind bust between 8 and 10 o'clock, otherwise with a pleasing dark cabinet tone with a touch of iridescence in recesses, near extremely fine, one of thirteen examples recorded from these dies in MacKay's extensive corpus
