Frederick Walter Balfe Fryer was born in Dorset in 1909 and was commissioned into the Royal Berkshire Regiment on 2 November 1940, having previously served in the ranks of the Royal Artillery. He served with the unit during the Burma campaign and earned his Efficiency Medal in November 1946; sold together with a cap Badge by J & Co. and copied research.
