(x) NGC AU58 | George I (1714-1727), 'South Sea Company' Crown, 1723 DECIMO, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, SS-C in angles commencing from second quarter, eight strings to harp, lettered edge downwards, 29.88g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 259; Bull 1545; ESC 114; Spink 3640), lightly flecked, otherwise a superb cabinet coin, the central devices handsomely struck up and accentuated by residual flare, well-balanced with great eye-appeal, extremely fine, in NGC 'Mildenhall' holder, conservatively graded AU58 (Cert. #2118346-008)
