(m.m.) CHRISTO : AVSPICE : REGNO • 1645, oval garnished shield, 11h, m.m. castle (Besley D/21; Brooker 1042; North 2561; Spink 3062), irregular flan as often encountered for type with softness of strike to horse' flank, otherwise richly cabinet toned, an impressive survivor for this provincial issue, the shield particularly sharp, approaching very fine for type, in PCGS holder, graded VF35 (Cert. #28889425)
