(m.m.) CHRISTO : AVSPICE : REGNO • 1645, oval garnished shield, 9h, m.m. castle (Besley D/21; Brooker 1042; North 2561; Spink 3062), a small flan split at reverse 5 o'clock, and softly struck on high points as usual for issue, otherwise delightful rich cabinet tone, a really good fine / almost very fine for type, same dies as next, in early NGC holder, graded VF30 (Cert. #3075340-025)
