(m.m.) • CHRISTO •:• AVSPICE ••:•• REGNO ••:•• oval garnished shield over cross fourchée, dividing C-R and plume above, 29.92g, 2h, m.m. plume (Hawkins 2b2; Francis 15, lot 106; FRC X/XIII, lot 57 this coin; Brooker 243 same dies; Barr 31; North 2192; Spink 2756), faint stress marks on horse's flank and in corresponding area of shield to reverse, otherwise darker cabinet tone, strictly fine, the peripheries bolder still, the reference coin from the Cooper collection, a notable and rare die combination not present in the Lockett cabinet, in PCGS holder, graded VF30 (Cert. #36195699) [Single Finest Certified]
