British War Medal 1914-1920 (132598. 3. A.M. A. Horsford. R.A.F.), minor contact marks, very fine

Austin Horsford was born in 1899 and enlisted with the Royal Flying Corps on 27 February 1918. Transferring to the Royal Air Force upon its formation with the rank of Air Mechanic Class 3 on 1 April 1918 Horsford was posted to 20th Wing on 31 July. Transferring to 142 Squadron on 10 March 1919 he served until 6 January 1920 when he was posted to the Royal Air Force Reserve on 6 January 1920.
