Joseph Thomas Bond was born in July 1895 at Holborn, London, the son of Joseph and Emily Bond of 54 Brown Road, Walthamstow. Entering the war on 11 August 1915 at Gallipoli he died of wounds on 29 August, likely sustained as a result of shelling while in Reserve positions; sold together with copied letter of commemoration, verification letter, Commonwealth War Graves details as well as M.I.C., War Diary extracts and extracts from several histories of the 7th Battalion at Gallipoli, along with an original photo of the recipient's grave.
