Ivan Stanley Hutchinson was born at Radford, Nottinghamshire in 1896, the son of William and Ellen Hutchinson of 10 Coleridge Street, Radford. Enlisting with the Grenadier Guards, Hutchinson served in France on 22 January 1915. He was killed only a few months later on 19 May 1915 when the Battalion was engaged in the Battle of Festubert and is commemorated upon the Le Touret Memorial; sold together with copied research including M.I.C. and Commonwealth War Graves details along with original documents including postcards, a copy of the Le Touret Memorial Register and a commemorative certificate for a William Hutchinson, formerly of the Grenadier Guards, who had since rejoined the Army Reserve as well as a memorial poster and letter of condolences from the Palace.
