Three: Private T. Horobin, 8th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment, who was killed on 31 August 1915

Thomas Horobin was born at Hyson Green, Nottinghamshire, in 1895, the son of Richard and Emma Horobin of 7 Grant Street, Radford, Nottingham. Enlisting with the Leicestershire Regiment on 5 September 1914, he was posted to 8th Battalion on 24 September. Serving on the Western Front in France on 29 July 1915, he was one of six men killed accidently on 31 August 1918, the other being a Lieutenant and four Private soldiers. Horobin was buried alongside the other six at Mondicourt Communal Cemetery; sold together with M.I.C., Commonwealth War Graves details, typed research and copied photographs of the recipient's grave.
