Herbert 'Bert' Lee was born at Salford, Lancashire in 1895, the son of George and Annie Lee of Nottingham. Serving with the 7th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) he served in France from 28 June 1915. Lee was killed on 30 March 1916 and is buried in the Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St. Eloi; sold together with copied research including M.I.C. and Commonwealth War Graves details.
