A. Gates served with the Somerset Light Infantry and the Essex Regiment, the MIC confirms sole entitlement.

Reginald Simon England was commissioned into the 18th Battalion, Manchester Regiment and served in France from 8 November 1915. Advanced Captain, he latterly served in the Indian Army Reserve of Officers, with his Medals issued to 20 Portland Square, Plymouth, Devon.
