G .' ANG .' | FRA .' ET • HIB •' REGINA • (m.m.), Queen seated on ornamented throne with fine latice work and pellet backing, holding orb and sceptre, flanked by pellet adorned pillars, Portcullis below atop ornate tressure through which it and only her crown breaks, rev. (m.m.) A '• DNO '• FACTV .' EST • ISTVD ET • EST • MIRAB •' IN • OCVL •' NRS .' Royal Shield set atop Tudor Rose, spandrels plain, 15.32g, m.m. tun (Brown and Comber A26 [Type i b]; Holloway 18-25; Schneider 783, {same obverse die}; North 2003; Spink 2529), subtle smoothing to edges, otherwise bright and residually lustrous, slight striking softness to most raised devices, otherwise a well balanced coin with pleasing finer details, the portrait very fine, the environs better still, only nine examples recorded with this die pairing in Holloway's extensive corpus, rare thus, with NGC 'St Albans' holder, graded, AU-Details ~ Repaired (#6295553-008)
