Denbighshire Volunteers Prize Medal, silver medal with straight bar suspension, the obverse engraved with Prince of Wales feathers either side the words Prize Medal, with the words Wrexham No.1 Company and Denbighshire Volunteers above and below respectively. The reverse engraved with a Welsh Dragon within a wreath and crown above in the centre with the wording (The Gift of Alderman Josh Clark shot for at Wynnstay Park 15th July 1861 won by Sergt P.R.Hughes Wrexham) above and below.

Due to the uncertainty that exists with the original provenance and manufacture of some early engraved Volunteer Medals, this lot is sold as viewed.
