British War Medal 1914-20 (I. Rusthoi), very fine

Ingvald Rusthoi was born in Sweden on 22 December 1883. He lived in Cambridge Street, East London, Cape Province and served in the Mercantile Marine during the Great War. Also entitled to the Mercantile Marine War Medal, his BWM is apparently one of just 47 awarded to South Africans, from a roll compiled in November 1986. Rusthoi died on 22 December 1964 and is buried in the Old Cemetery, Strand, Cape Town; sold together with copied research.
