ALS on "York Cottage, Sandringham, Norfolk" headed mourning letter paper to Sir Francis de Winton writing that being not satisfied with their goodbye yesterday, he must add his thanks for "the faithful and loyal way in which you served me during the ten years you were my comptroller. I hope that we may from time to time meet and so keep up the friendship which has existed between us, ever since I first made you acquaintance 18 years ago" continuing "We found the Cottage on our arrival yesterday most comfortable & the additions charming.".
