1855 (16 Jan.) entire to Paris bearing 1847-54 Embossed 1/- green, die 2 vertical pair (good to very large margins, just touching left side of the top stamp) cancelled by "498" numerals with Manchester despatch alongside, with Manchester straight-line "registered" in reddish black, "2/-" rate mark in red ink, London Paid tombstone with the large crown/"registered" and "PD" in oval, Calais transit with handstruck "chargé" in black, the reverse with Paris arrival (18.1). A good cover
