1843 (7 Mar.) wrapper to Kendal bearing 2d. light blue, HK (close to enormous margins) well tied by a light and neat strike of the distinctive York Maltese Cross in black with the York despatch c.d.s. in the lower corner, marked "Registered Letter P 1/-" in reddish ink, the reverse with Kendal arrival c.d.s. (8.3). A stunning cover with huge appeal and probably the only registered cover bearing this special Maltese Cross
