1840 (2 Feb.) entire river mail letter to Weir Lewis in Canton sent from Tong Koo. The letter is of a business deal with matting which was anticipated being delivered on board the C Price, which was due to Tongkoo before going on to Whampoa. No postal markings as privately carried. S.W. Lewis was an American, so still able to trade in Canton. Two vertical filing creases; rare mail from Tong Koo to Canton
