1865 (19 Dec.) entire letter from Montego Bay to Paris, bearing 2d. rose wing-margin pair and 1/- purple-brown each cancelled "A56" and with London Paid (15.1) and Calais entry (unclear) datestamps below, manuscript "1/2" accountancy mark in red crayon at centre, the reverse (a couple of tears) with despatch (22.12) and Kingston (23.12) datestamps; filing crease crosses one the 2d. values though an attractive franking of the 1/4d. ¼oz. rate.
