1892 (Mar.) unstamped envelope from Umtali to Sussex, carried on the fifth official despatch by the East Coast route, no Rhodesian postage apparently paid though showing "G" c.d.s. for 11 March, "governo de/districto/de manica/secretaria" h.s. with manuscript notation that 50r. had been paid in cash, showing barred circle handstamp of Macequence, framed "ship letter" h.s. applied in Durban and, on reverse, Durban and arrival (9.5) datestamps; the envelope with some peripheral faults though a rare unfranked East Coast route cover.
