The East Coast Route Mail
1892 (Jan.) envelope from Salisbury to Port Elizabeth carried in the second official despatch by the East Coast route, marked "Via Umtali - Beira", bearing 1892 1d. and 4d. both cancelled by "K" in barred diamond obliterator, showing code "G" c.d.s. of Umtali for 27 January; thence carried by cart to Macequence, Mozambique with 1886 10r. green and 40r. brown applied on reverse and with indistinct cancellations, showing boxed
Note: Mozambique adhesives were required as Rhodesian stamps had no extra-territorial validity.
