1892 (Mar.) unstamped envelope ex the Newbolt correspondence from Umtali to Bedford, carried on the fifth official despatch by the East Coast route, marked "via Beira & East Coast", no Rhodesian postage apparently paid though showing "G" c.d.s. for 11 March, "governo de/districto/de manica/secretaria" h.s. with manuscript notation that 50r. had been paid in cash, showing barred circle handstamp of Macequence, framed "ship letter" h.s. applied in Durban and, on reverse, Durban (2.4) and arrival datestamps; A rare unfranked East Coast route cover.
