1863 (1 May) envelope from Cape Town to Constantinople, marked "per Saxon" and "per Marseille", bearing 1855 4d. pair (cut into on two sides) and 1863 1/- bright emerald-green (cut into along base), showing circular-framed "pd" and London Paid transit c.d.s. (23.6), both in red, with despatch and British P.O. arrival (4.7) datestamps on reverse; the envelope slightly soiled. A rare mixed-issue franking to a rare destination. Photo
