1868-69 envelopes (5) ex the Cochrane correspondence on board H.M.S. Peterel at Cape Town, the first sent from Charing Cross at the packet letter rate of 1/-, having missed the Union steamer at Southampton forwarded to Devonport where it sailed on the Dane, the first sailing under the third Cape Atlantic contract, the other three from Derry franked at the Naval Officer's rate of 6d. (two with six 1d. values) carried on the Briton via Plymouth, Cambrian via Southampton and Dane from Devonport
