1858 (9 Sept.) envelope from Durban to Seaford, carried on the Madagascar to Durban and then to England on the private screw steamer Abeona having missed the Union steamer Dane due to bad weather, bearing small 3d. rose lightly cancelled and tied by Crown datestamp in blue, showing large "6d" handstamp below and with arrival datestamp (2.11) at upper left, the reverse with "plymouth/ship letter", London and Lewes (1.11) datestamps.
