From Natal
1857 (5 Nov.) front from Durban "via Cape of Good Hope" to Leeds, rated "6" and bearing 3d. rose neatly cancelled with Crown datestamp in blue and with arrival datestamp (8.1) alongside, carried on the Madagascar to Cape Town and from Cape Town by the Dane on the first Union Co. homeward voyage under the 1857 contract; most attractive. Also 1857 (Sept.) large piece bearing 3d. rose roughly cut-to-shape and cancelled with Crown datestamp in blue and with Cape of Good Hope datestamp (21.9) alongside. R.P.S. Certificate (1977)
