1857 (17 Feb.) blue envelope from Durban to London, marked "Paid 1/-" carried by the Rennie steamer Madagascar to Cape Town and then the Lindsay Robert Lowe first return voyage to Dartmouth, showing Crown datestamp in deep blue and, on reverse, a light strike of the very rare "cape-packet/bristol" P2 and arrival (26 .5) datestamps; envelope with small fault at foot though a rare cover carried from Natal by this line with only four examples recorded by the owner.
