"memoranda" letter (full transcript supplied) for "Genl. Doyle's Guidance" regarding movement of troops and "despatches that may arrive from England, not to be sent up without an officer & an Escort"; 1796 (15 Aug.) two page letter from Rijneveld, the Dutch fiscal, to Major-General Doyle enclosing a list of the rescuers of a ship which had caught fire; and 1802 (3 Oct.) Instructions of Vice-Admiral Sir Roger Curtis letter (some damage) at the Cape written on board H.M.S. Lancaster
