1811 (13 Sept.) entire letter from W.T. Venables in Cape Town to his father in Kent, carried by H.M.S. Emerald, showing light "ship letter/Crown/cape of good hope" (Goldblatt SL1) and "ship letter/Crown/portsmouth" (S9), three U.K. transit datestamps on reverse, and undated entire from London to Cape Town with Post Paid Ship Letter handstamp. Also 1809 entire from East India House, London carried privately to Cape Town, and 9d., 3/- and 6/- embossed Revenue stamps
