General Sir Leslie Rundle
1896 (23 Oct.) ALS written from HQ, Egyptian Army over five sides of paper, to "My Dear Pullen" with mention of his temporary role as Commander in Dongola, now returning to his role at the War office in Cairo and discussing the success of the recent campaign.

Sir Leslie Rundle (1856-1934) served as General during the Second Boer War and WWI. He saw involvement in the 1884 Nile Expedition and the 1889 Khartoum Expedition, nicknamed 'Sir Leisurely Trundle'.
