William Nelson, 1st Earl Nelson
1810 (29 April) ALS to Sir George Nayler writing "In consequence of something which has occurred since I met you in St. James's street yesterday, I wish very much to have a few minutes conversation with you as soon as convenient". Signed "Nelson & Bronte". Also a complete letter written by an anonymous sender signed "Nelson & Bronte" on address panel by means of franking privilege.

Sir George Naylor 1764 - 1831, although started life as a miniaturist, moved into heraldry and took up the position of Genealogist of the Order of the Bath and Blanc Coursier Herald in 1792. It was in this role that Naylor was known to the Nelson family. Colin White in 'Nelson, The New Letters' publishes a letter from Horatio Nelson, William's Father to Naylor enquiring as to where to place the "Eagle which was sent me from Sicily" in "the Arms of Bronte".
