1698 (24 January) letter signed in French from exile in St. Germain-en-Laye to "Cardinal Cacia" thanking him "with all our heart for [his kind words] and we ask you to be assured of our special esteem which we will give you scheduled on the occasion. So we pray to God that he may have you, My Cousin, in his holy and worthy guard". Signed "Jacques R". Document in good condition complete with address panel bearing red wax seal with good impression of Stuart seal.
