1687 (20 Sept.) letter signed in French from Windsor to Cardinal Colloredo, writing "My Cousin, I have received the letter You wrote to me on the death of my Sister and Mother-in-law the Duchess of Modena", thanking him for his concern and begging him to believe that "I will interest myself in an equal degree in what may concern you". Signed "Jacques R". With address panel and two wax seals showing a clear impression of the Stuart royal arms, both affixing red silk.

Duchess (Laura Martinozzi) of Modena (1639-87) by marriage to Alfonso IV. Mother of Mary of Modena, wife of James II and Roman Catholic.
