1936 (c.) large hand-made cover addressed to Cambridge bearing the die proof of the 2/3 tr. blue (cliché 3) with ½tr. yellow [9], 1tr. pale rose-carmine [5] and 2tr. scarlet [11] each cancelled by a good strike of Lhasa type VII postmark. Some typical creasing or wrinkling, a good cover. Photo

This cover was couriered to Gyantse British Post Office with an outer cover for onward delivery to England. The addressee, Albert Hopkinson was later to become the British Political Officer in Sikkim, responsible for Tibet
