1936 (c.) large hand-made paper cover addressed to Calcutta bearing the die proof of 2/3 tr. blue (cliché 3) with ½tr. yellow [8] with side margin, 1tr. pale rose-carmine [1] with corner margins, 2tr. scarlet [12] with corner margins and perforated 4tr. emerald [8] (showing the beginning of the damage to the lion's chest) with side margin, each tied by the bilingual Lhasa postmark still showing the double outer rings. This is one of a series of covers, containing Christmas cards, which were sent by B.J. Gould (Sikkim and Tibet political officer). A very striking cover. Photo
