William Weir was born at Abbey, Paisley and joined the 91st Foot on 13 May 1811, serving with them in the Peninsula and during the Waterloo Campaign (Medal). Discharged, he re-enlisted in the 3rd Foot on 15 June 1820 and served with that regiment until 16 April 1832; sold with copied service record.
