William Prince Edwards, a native of Feltham, Middlesex, was born in 1922 and flew his first Op to Duisburg with No. 139 (Jamaica) Squadron in Mosquito 'K' on 3 August 1943. Flying numerous Ops in Europe, including twice to Berlin, he transferred to Africa and thence to No. 45 Squadron in India. He flew as Navigator over Burma, including bombing Mektilla on 28 October 1944 and various strafing Ops, his penultimate Op being to bomb Thedaw on 29 December 1944. He was killed in action on 3 January 1945, on his 22nd Op and is buried in the Gauhati War Cemetery; sold together with portrait photograph, an image of his grave, besides letter of transmittal to his family of Log Book.
