Duncan Gallacher McReynolds was born in March 1964 and enlisted in the Royal Artillery at Port Glasgow on 16 September 1980. After his first tour with 16th Regiment, Royal Artilley, he completed the All Arms Commando Course at the Royal Marines Training Centre, Lympstone in 1983. Joining 29th Commando Regiment, he completed a plethora of specialist training which equipped him for his future deployments with the unit, including Jungle Warfare Instruction (Jan-Feb 1990), Counter Terrorism (Feb 1990), Ski Course (Norway, Nov-Dec 1987) and Rapier Missile training to name but a few.

He served as Battery Quarter-Master Sergeant of 7 (Sphinx) Commando Battery during Operation Jacana and 'prepared for and executed a second warfighting command'. McReynolds produced and narrated a film of their tour of Iraq, a copy of which is included with the Lot.

He was discharged on 14 May 2004; sold together with a quantity of Staff Reports, copied Certificate of Service and numerous qualification certificates, including serving with the 1st Special Forces Group (ABN) for the NATO training exercises at Yakima Firing Centre, Washington, March 1991 besides Regimental Journals.
