Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society, Fire Medal, silver (P.C. 587. Allan Kennedy, For Having Rescued a Man From a House on Fire in Roscoe Lane. July 20. 1888), suspension a little slack, very fine
'A Silver Fire Medal and 20s. to Police-Constable 587, Allan Kennedy, for having gone into a house in Roscoe Lane, at one a.m. on the 20th inst., and having rescued a man who was sleeping in the front bedroom, and was found in an unconscious state, and somewhat burnt about the hands and face. Kennedy's whiskers and eyelashes were singed in effecting the rescue.'
