Trial Separations
The following group of separations were all applied by hand to imperforate sheets. Naturally the results were often poorly cut and badly aligned. Examples with the design intact are rarely encountered and are worth a considerable premium
Serrated Perforation 18 at Nelson
1/- blue-green, small parts of the serrates on three sides and imperforate at top, clearly cancelled "15" at Nelson, good colour; small thin at top centre though of good appearance. Holcombe Opinion (1988). S.G. 26, £6,500. Photo
