Trial Separations
The following group of separations were all applied by hand to imperforate sheets. Naturally the results were often poorly cut and badly aligned. Examples with the design intact are rarely encountered and are worth a considerable premium
Serrated Perforation 18 at Nelson
6d. brown, serrates on three sides, large imperforate margin at top, cancellation at upper right leaving much of design clear; minor thin spot though of fine appearance for this rare stamp. S.G. 24, £3,500. Photo
