1896 (8 June) envelope to Rev. H. Collins, Ichang, "c/o U,S, Consul" bearing U.S. 5c. franking tied by Trappe duplex; there is a fine array of markings on the reverse with San Francisco (8.6), "u.s.postal agency/shanghai" (7.7) , a faint strike of Hankow Local Post c.d.s. (11.7) , a fine strike of the Consulate of the United States, Hankow oval datestamp (11.7) and a further Hankow Local Post c.d.s. (13.7) when this letter was returned to the Local Post system. A rare and important incoming cover using these different postal services. Photo


1896年6月8日美國寄宜昌外來封, 貼美國5仙票, 銷模糊Trappe郵戳, 在封背有6月8日三藩市日戳, 7月7日美國上海郵政代理圓型日戳, 模糊的7月11日漢口工部日戳, 紫色7月11日美國在漢口領事橢圓形日戳, 當這信函發回工部書信館系統後, 7月13日再蓋一枚漢口工部日戳; 經不同郵政系統傳遞的不平凡外來封, 罕見, 保存完好.
