1888 (Nov.) envelope to London bearing 1ca. green, 3ca. mauve and 5ca. pale ochre tied by large double-oval "customs house/wuhu" cancellations with France 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. (9.11), the reverse (flap missing) with French packet datestamp and London (14.12) arrival. Spectacular and a rare Customs House cover. Photo

Wuhu did not have a seal obliterator so the Customs House postmark was occasionally employed as a cancellation


1888年11月蕪湖寄倫敦實寄封，貼壹分，三分及伍分各一枚，銷大型雙圈橢圓蕪湖關戳，而旁邊一枚25仙的法國票則銷11月9日上海法國客郵戳，封背有法國定期郵輪戳及12月14日倫敦到達戳，較特別及少見的蕪湖關郵戳封._x000D_ _x000D_ 蕪湖並沒有橢圓中文戳，故常以海關戳來蓋銷郵票
