1888 (13 May) opened-out double weight cover to Italy bearing, on the reverse, an attractive array of 1ca. green (2), 3ca. mauve (2) and 5ca. pale yellow-ochre (2) cancelled by Peking seal in blue with a good strike of "i.g. of customs/peking" type II (day before month) alongside plus several transit marks with faint Customs Shanghai (18.5). Brindisi, Palermo and Naples (to where the letter was redirected), the address side with pair of France 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. and octagonal French packet datestamp; the envelope was damaged in transit and had been resealed on three sides (the top sealed iwth Italian Post Office seal). The two halves of the envelope have become separated and rejoined, there are a few tone spots. An unusual and appealing cover. Signed by Peter Holcombe. Photo

1888年5月13日北京寄義大利雙倍郵資剖開封,封背貼壹分票,三分票及伍分票各兩枚,銷藍色北京橢圓中文戳,及北京I.G.海關二型戳(日子在月份前),旁有另外的數枚中轉戳,及較模糊的5月18日上海海關戳,信經Brindisi,Palermo及那不勒斯(在此曾轉遞),在封面貼一對法國25仙票,銷上海法國客郵日戳,及八角型法國定期客輪戳,因信封破損後由義大利郵局補回缺口,雖然中上品相,仍為不可多得的小龍雙郵資國外郵遞封._x000D_ _x000D_ 源流:1962年2月Saul Newbury; 1987年3月"Ming"
