10fr. on 90c. red, exceptional centring leaving balanced margins all around, tied by "new-york au havre/d" octagonal datestamp to 23 August envelope to Valentigney, redirected to New York, slightly tied by the accompanying "new-york au havre d" linear cachet, additionally franked with "Pasteur" 1fr.50c. also tied by the octagonal datestamp, with special six-line catapult cachet on front, backstamped at Valentigney and New York.
